COMPREHENSIVE BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENT

An in-depth, holistic evaluation of your dog’s behaviour - understand what's driving the challenges you're facing & how to start turning things around

What's Included in your
Comprehensive Behavioural Assessment

My behavioural assessment service offers an in-depth, holistic evaluation of your dog’s behaviour and the world they live in. This isn’t just about addressing isolated behaviours - it’s about understanding the why behind them.  If we simply jump in and try to 'train' away the external behaviours causing problems, we will miss the contributing factors that are driving that behaviour - without addressing those, your success at changing what's happening is likely to be more of a struggle and less successful.

Together, we’ll explore:
🐕‍Your dog’s unique history, personality & temperament traits, and daily life factors
🐕Behavioural patterns -  at home, on walks, and in new or challenging environments
🐕Contributing factors like stress levels, diet, sleep, routine, physical discomfort, and communication breakdowns
🐕Gait, posture, and movement – assessing for physical contributors to behaviour
🐕 Home dynamics, family interactions, and any potential areas within relationships that may be preventing progress

Whether you and your dog are struggling to navigate reactivity, general anxiety, environmental sensitivity, over arousal or fear related challenges, this assessment will get you clarity & a way forward by addressing the underlying causes and not just the behavioural symptoms.

What’s Included:
🐶 A comprehensive assessment of your dog as an individual - physical, emotional, temperament - plus lifestyle & environment evaluations
🎦 A 90-minute consult via Zoom to go through my assessment review & discuss workable solutions going forward
✅ Initial management strategies & exercises to minimize the problem behaviours and relieve stress for everyone.
🐕 A basic biomechanics assessment (Value £75) -  A gait and posture analysis to check for pain/discomfort as a potential contributing factor
📝 A tailored initial progress plan with potential next steps
🫂One month’s free access to my coaching membership group for ongoing support and access to 100s of resources (Value £35)

Pre-Consult Requirements:   You will need to provide complete a detailed pre-consult questionnaire & submit some short video clips ahead of our consult call together - this is so I can complete my in-depth assessment and go through it with your on our call together – details of what to send will be provided when you sign up.

Your Progress Plan: An assessment consultation includes an initial training plan for you to implement - so you should start seeing positive improvements straight away.

It also includes details of what your progress plan may look like going forward - but as this is contingent on how your initial training plan progresses, so it’s not necessarily a definitive plan.

Your Support: An assessment consultation  doesn't include personal 1-1 support from me following our consultation, but does include one month’s support via my Adopters Coaching Group where you will have access to myself & my qualified support trainers.

Most problematic behaviours, especially fearfulness & reactivity, can take several weeks/months before you start seeing lasting changes (depending on each dog as an individual) so we will also discuss ongoing support options available to you during our call together.

You'll come away with clear insights into what's driving your dog's behaviour, and a practical plan on how best to move forward and start seeing positive changes - all tailored to your dog as an individual and your life together. 🥰

About Me: Meesh Masters

Hi, my name is Meesh Masters, and I am the founder of The Dog’s Point of View and a leading specialist in Romanian and overseas rescue dogs.

My courses, workshops, and training programmes are all designed specifically for these naturally evolved dogs, recognising their unique instincts and behavioural needs.

With nearly 10 years of experience living with and working alongside adopters of Romanian and overseas rescue dogs, my aim is to help both pet guardians and canine professionals understand and support these often sensitive and complex, yet incredible, dogs in a way that truly aligns with their nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

No - all behavioural assessments are delivered remotely via Zoom. This allows for flexible, calm, and accessible support regardless of location. Many Romanian and overseas dogs can be sensitive to the presence of a stranger - so working in this way helps me to see their true behaviour within their everyday environment, which can lead to a more accurate understanding of what's happening for them.

In addition, working with video footage is super beneficial in helping me show you the things I see - things like your dog's body language (that would get missed if not caught on camera) how your behaviour impacts on your dogs behaviour, and key moments in training where you could have tweaked something for a different or better result - so going forward, you will be able to spot all these things yourself.

It's one of the most beneficial ways of learning and is usually incredibly enlightening for my clients. 🥰🐕

My ethos when working with you and your dogs is kindness, understanding & compassion.  I take a holistic approach which means I will assess your dogs well-being both inside and out - Physical well-being, emotional well-being, and every aspect of your training plan will be tailored to your dog as an individual, you as an individual and the unique 'team' that you are within the specific environments you navigate in daily life.

So whether your dog is showing signs of reactivity, overwhelm, shutdown, sensitivity to people/movement/sounds, or general behavioural struggles - we can uncover what’s really going on and formulate a bespoke plan that will help you move forward at a pace that's right for you both.

As part of your assessment package you come in and join me inside the Adopters Coaching Group so you can access all the training guides, video demo's and resources that will support you as you implement your progress plan.

You can ask questions in that group anytime, join weekly zoom calls and be supported by not only me and my team, but also a whole community of adopters who 'get it!'- no judgement, just understanding and compassion because they know exactly how you might be feeling.

Ongoing 1-1 support from me personally is available through a premium coaching package, which we’ll talk about at the end of your assessment if that feels like the right next step for you and your dog.

Yes absolutely (but with a caveat) - a comprehensive behavioural assessment is suitable for any type of behavioural challenge - the majority of my 1-1 clients are dogs who struggle with strangers or visitors, dogs who are reactive on walks to a variety of stimuli and high level fearful dogs.

The caveat is that I don't personally work with dogs who struggle with separation anxiety/isolation distress - but I can absolutely refer you to one of my RR Pro Trainers who is a specialist in this particular area if that's what you need help with.

Yes absolutely - the behavioural assessment is a standalone session. It’s designed to give you clear insights and actionable steps even if you choose not to continue with further support.
