Over-Reactive behaviour on walks is the number one problem Adopters of Romanian & Overseas Rescue dogs ask for my help with, and whilst I would love to be able to work with everyone individually, there simply isn't enough of me to go round!
Which is why I created this program! The RTR program provides you with the complete framework of how I work with clients in the format of a structured holistic online program.
You can work through the program material at your own pace. No having to trek to classes, feeling anxious or awkward about how your dog might behave or putting your dog into situations they can't cope with yet.
Fearful and over reactive behaviour will not go away on it's own. The fact that it is even happening confirms that something is not quite right for your dog at this time.
π π Any number of these possible contributing factors you see in this diagram, could be affecting your dogs behaviour, which is why so many people struggle to see progress.
'Training' only works on the observable behaviour, but if you don't address what's causing or contributing to the behaviour, then all the 'training' in the world will only ever have limited success. This includes looking at how WE - at the human end of the lead - impact on our dog's behaviour by the things we do (or don't do!)
Living with a dog that exhibits excessive reactions to certain 'triggers' is one of the hardest behaviours to deal with and live with. You find yourself feeling stressed, embarrassed and increasingly reluctant to walk your dog, which I'm sure was one of the primary pleasures you were looking forward to when you got them!
Of course it's not their fault, they're not 'doing it on purpose' they can't help it. They are simply behaving as a result of an instinctive emotional & behavioural response, but we can help them by ensuring we take a holistic approach to understanding, addressing and supporting our dogs in ALL areas of life.
In the Reactive to Rebalanced Roadmap for Romanian Rescue Dogs you will be walked through the five core stages that will teach you how to understand your dog, communicate effectively with them, establish skills and techniques that will improve your walks and help you navigate tricky situations from the get go.
By the time you complete your program you will have a clear progress plan to help you and your dog feel more relaxed, know how to navigate your dogs over-reactive behaviour with ease and understand exactly what you need to do to continue to see positive changes going forward.

This program is for you if you have a dog that overreacts to certain things out and about on walks. If your dog has big feelings (barking, lunging, spinning, air snapping) when they see other dogs, people, cyclists, joggers, wildlife etc. then this program will walk you through a holistic progress plan so you can enjoy calmer walks and both move forward to living your best life together.
The program material is delivered in a variety of formats to suit different learning styles. There are short, easy to digest video explanations with written scripts to accompany them, video demonstrations of exercises as well as numerous downloadable PDF teaching guides, handouts, helpful worksheets and workbooks.
The course is designed to take 15 weeks in total, with 12 weeks of modules followed by three break/practice weeks. However, you and your dog are always free to work through the material at your own pace. It is important to follow the structure of the course & not skip the early stages because it's been designed to make sure you are set up to succeed. Even so, every dog learns & progresses differently based on a number of factors, so how quickly you see results will depend on what your dog requires and how much time you are able to commit to doing the learning and then implementing it.
How does forever sound? You get lifetime access to the program and all it's contents, INCLUDING any additional units that will be added as the program evolves.
Lifetime access means the lifetime of the course. Obviously it's not possible to guarantee it for your lifetime - I may not be around as long as you! And whilst I have no plans to retire - we can never know what's around the corner can we. So the lifetime of the course means as long I have the technology & webhosting available to deliver the course - you will keep access. If there were to be any major changes we would give you as much notice as possible and aim to provide you with access to the material another way if we can (i.e. download the material or get access in a different way)
We know how overwhelming it can feel when you have a dog that overreacts to triggers in the environment, so we have aimed to include as much as possible in the course, covering many angles that provide information on both understanding canine behaviour, understanding Romanian & overseas rescue dogs as well as training strategies & protocols of course - all with support built in for both you and your dog.
If you wanted more practical & emotional support as you work through this program- from qualified professionals with extensive experience of working with natural world dogs - then the best place to get that is inside my Adopters Coaching Group where you can access this exact program plus a whole lot more! And you can join weekly zoom calls, or ask questions anytime day or night 24/7 - if that sounds more like what you're looking for - CLICK HERE to check out all the info about the training & support group & sign up.
